      Downloading The Same 7 Days Emails Over and Over.....

      Hi all,

      After the initial problems and bulk download from server I have been using the email client quite successfully on my outlook (POP) and iphone (IMAP).

      I have a problem though where occasionally (Today being one of those days) outlook as decided to download the last 7 days (emails set to leave message on server for 7 days) over and over again.

      As sporadically as it starts, it then stops.

      I left my computer this morning and it has downloaded the same 149 messages (Weeks worth) 8 times. I can't get it to stop. It will then randomly stop later today and go back to normal.

      Can anyone help?

      Which client are you using?

      Not such a daft question, but I trust that it is a Sky.com email address too.

      Finally could you post a screen dump of the settings that you are using please? Blank out your user name.

      Hi - I am now also having this issue. I was not affected at the time of the switchover to Yahoo, but for about a week now my email client is being sent emails from Sky email over and over. My email client is Incredimail, and I do have a sky.com email and have not changed any settings from before - any ideas please ?

      Have you set Incredimail to delete from server once downloaded or to keep a copy on the server ?

      Hi Alan - thanks for your reply - Incredimail is set to "NOT leave a copy of email on server" ie selection to leave a copy on server is unticked. This is the setting according to Incredimail "Leave a copy of messages on server By default, when an email is received, it is downloaded onto your computer then deleted from the mail server. This prevents from your mail box from reaching its maximum quota. When the 'Leave a copy of messages on server' option is selected, your email is not deleted from the server, which means that your mail box may reach its maximum quota and future email messages sent to you will be rejected. " Apologies for the style of my reply but the return key does not start a new paragraph for some reason - thanks

      That is a known issue with IE10. Click the compatibility icon and all should be well. Annoyingly you then can't see the line above a post that includes the date & time of the post.

      I'm currently having to use Firefox as both IR10 and Chrome don't work correctly for me.

      any suggestions as this is still happening ? Sky email is marking the already downloaded ones as read but is sending them again and again.

      Do I just need to contact Sky support with this issue ?

      I would. I'm not sure how many are still experiencing this issue but you should draw their attention to it.
