I just spotted this announcement on the sky forum:

There's no indication of exactly when, but thought it best to post as it's the last chance to retrieve any mail that's still languishing there.

Yes, I got one of these emails this morning too. I don't get any new mail in this way anymore, I think my gmail app on my nexus 7 still checks it for mail.
