Unable to access Sky email on web

Outlook is collecting my Sky emails but I am unable to access the account on the web. Can log into MySky and check My Bill and My Package but when I click on the email icon the page comes up saying the connection was reset. Been like this for 2 days now. I wanted to check the settings on the email account for spam and also to check whether email is deleted from there when I deleted one of the duplicate emails I received of old mail that i wished to keep in both Outlook and on the online account.

I get that but only when using firefox so i just use I.E. instead. Try using a different browser.

Thanks moleman. That worked using Chrome but have found that all emails that were in my Inbox have now disappeared despite Outlook settings set to leave a copy on server. Ones that were put into folders are still there. Have not permanently deleted any of the duplicate ones from Outlook yet.

Re: Unable to access Sky email on web

I had a similar problem a few days ago when I was logging into one of my sky accounts and getting mail (this worked OK), but then logged into another of my sky accounts successfully and clicked on "mail". Aparently you cannot be in two mail accounts at the same time and as I had forgotten to log out of the first account, I got the "connection reset" when trying to get mail from a second account. The solution was to first log out of the first account fully then log into the other. I don't know if this is what you were doing but, that was the cause for me.

That probably means something else has downloaded them. It may be a "fetch" rule still running on the old gmail system or perhaps an app on a phone. Changing your password will stop it happening.

Re: Unable to access Sky email on web

I am in a mess with my e mails due to the changeover to Yahoo.Have been unable to access them since last Wednesday. Have managed to speak to a human at Sky and have reset my password etc but still no joy. He has 'escalated' the issue to someone else.People who are sending me e mails having them bounced back saying that I do not have a Sky account. How is anyone else getting on??

I think most people are getting there. Your problem is not unique and is known about but doesn't seem to have a resolution yet.

Sorry I could not give you better news.

Re: Unable to access Sky email on web

Only have 1 sky account & only use Outlook to get mail. Think it is best to stop using Sky Mail as there is nothing to stop them doing this again and causing all these problems again. Can anyone advise me how to back up the emails in Outlook to a portable hard drive to ensure that they are not lost should I have any problems with PC now that they are no longer on the server.

Backing up Outlook is fairly easy, just follow the instructions here-
      Back up Outlook e-mail messages - Outlook - Office.com

Remember you will need Outlook installed to read what you have backed up, you can't just open the file and read it.
