      New Yahoo Mail

I looked on my iphone this morning and cannot locate all the folders which I had as archives for my email. These were previously held via IMAP and accessed by all my devices. Have these been transferred. How do I access them? I thought mobile devices worked on IMPA under the new regime and it was outlook I would have problems.

Have you tried deleting the account from your phone and then setting it up again?

I wonder if there are some different settings which it may pick up.

      Re: New Yahoo Mail

Thanks. That worked going in through add other account etc and putting in the orginal sky imap settings. However all folders were prefaced by Gmail-archive-xxx so I had to go into the sky webmail and rename each folder but seems to work.

I havn't looked at my outlook at home yet but am i going to find the situation whereby if I down load them into outlook I will not be able to see them on my iphone because of POP3.?

I assume that you are using POP3 with Outlook. You might like to change your POP settings to leave a copy on the server and hopefully Outlook will not download multiple copies of each email.

      Re: New Yahoo Mail

I thought that was the only option now POP3. I don't want that - I want the old version where everything was current on every device.

      Re: New Yahoo Mail

The only way around this would be to set up a new email account.

Both gmail and Hotmail offer the ability to view the same emails across multiple devices.

Some posters are claiming that IMAP appears to work on their desktop PC. I think it's going to be a case of try it and see.

      Re: New Yahoo Mail

I think that those with Win 8 are able to do this, but please do remember that the migration is happening now. It should be completed tomorrow and I am hoping that all these issues will have been resolved.

I've got IMAP working on Outlook 2013 with the same settings as before.

Unfortunately my Inbox only goes back to 27 March 2013 and my Sent folder just contains an email I sent today. All subfolders of my Inbox have also disappeared.

The same problem occurs when I view my email via the Web browser.

I expected problems so I copied my ost file yesterday and can now open my old emails as an archive.
