Hi all,

We’re pleased to announce that Sky Yahoo! Mail is now here! Sign in now to take a look around your mailbox and find out what the new service has to offer.

You can create folders and filters to help you organise your inbox while easy ways to sort emails and mail search can make sure you can quickly find the message you’re looking for. You’ll also see that Sky Yahoo! Mail uses tabbed views, so different emails will open in separate tabs – another helpful function to manage your mailbox efficiently.

While you’re discovering your new mailbox, here are some other things we wanted to point out:

• We’re copying your emails across from Sky Email to Sky Yahoo! Mail as quickly as possible for you – it may take up to 24 hours before you see them all in your mailbox
• We started copying across your contacts from 31 March, so if you created or modified any contacts after this date, you may not see these changes. If you did create any new contacts on or after 31 March, you’ll need to add them into Sky Yahoo! Mail manually.
• Your Calendar will be copied across as soon as we have completed copying your emails. It may take up to another 24 hours hours before all of your calendar entries appear.

Just like Sky Email, Sky Yahoo! Mail is still accessible on the move - if you are accessing your emails using an email client or a mobile device, make sure you’ve checked that you’ve got the correct Sky settings. Depending on which device and settings you can find more details on our help page.

I'll say Hello! At first I could get no Sky email in Windows Mail today. Looked up the settings for Sky/Yahoo. They're exactly the same as the existing ones. Had dig on here. Came up with altering the POP 3 settings on https://mail.google.com/a/sky.com.
Sky now trying to download nearly ****ing 43,000 emails into my Windows Mail. 43,000 also on Sky/Yahoo webmail. No proper POP 3 settings within Sky/Yahoo webmail except an option to forward to my email client.
Forgive the snap judgement, but is this pants or what?

It was always going to be pants. I can't even login via Mac Mail and it's annihilated my old mailbox.

Why has the service switched to Yahoo!?

Sky has teamed up with Yahoo! to offer Sky customers a new email service which launched on 4 April. Google is no longer able to provide Sky with an email platform that caters for our requirements. As another leading provider of email services, we’ve chosen Yahoo! to power the new Sky Yahoo! Mail.

I can only assume requirements translates as "so cheap it's nearly free".
