Yes kinda glad they sold Zimbra to Vmware, not sure why they bought it in the first place....

Well actually the yahoo mail does look like the older versions of zimbra so that's probably why

Before criticising only Yahoo, watch this video:

Scubbie That video doesn't prove anything about the security of any of the sites.

It could be reading passwords stored in the browser or using a database of leaked accounts.

Could even be a keylogger and those are the passwords of idiots that downloaded the app

Re: Yahoo's Security (or rather lack of)

I have a friend with a BTinternet email account who was recently hacked. An email was sent out to everyone on his contacts list saying he was stranded in the Philippines and needed some money sent to get him home. As he is a professional golfer who travels the world and has many rich friends in his contacts, it was very worrying. He only discovered the scam when a friend he had been with the night before called and alerted him. He then spent hours emailing, text messaging and calling everyone on his list telling them it was a scam. BT are trying to find out how the scam was worked, but as he is PC illiterate I suspect it was his own fault and somehow allowed someone into his PC. He is actually in Dubai at the moment, after I cleaned up his laptop, gave him some good security and warned him not just to click on things because they were there.

I wonder if it is a coincidence that Yahoo run BT mail?

Re: Yahoo's Security (or rather lack of)

Probably not, Recently someone I know had their Yahoo mail hacked, but then don't know the attack vector as of yet, could have easily been a compromised password from elsewhere.

Friend of mine who does IT support recently commented that an unusually high number of people were calling him stating their Yahoo/BT internet accounts had been hacked.

Did you change the video when you quoted it, or has something funny happened there.

The orginal video and the quoted one are not the same.
