Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Sorry, I don't know what you mean by that. Sky email is to be run through Yahoo who do not support IMAP on a Windows desktop client. I can't see how Sky can provide an IMAP service if it is not supported by their email provider.
From what I have read on the experience of other IPS's users, IMAP will work, although it is not supported and no help will be given if you have problems.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Sky offer email for life and didn't specify any particular protocols such as IMAP, POP etc.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Judging by all the guides on Sky's own website, one could reasonably infer that Sky's email for life, could be construed as working on IMAP POP etc
If Sky didn't initially support them etc, then they would not have taken the time and effort to provide the relevant guides.
This whole business has the trademarks of being a gigantic cockup once the process is on the way.
Not one single piece of information has been offered officially to this forum to help users determine what is going to happen, to me that is a bad sign.~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
I can see how it could be be inferred that way.
Couldn't agree more as regards the potential for cockup!

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Besides that, we still do not know for definite that Sky's email for life, prior to this announcement is still email for life, or as the FAQ suggests that it will stop working after 30 days if people decide not to accept the new T and C's etc (past and present Sky customers)
