Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
There seems to be a lot of confusion about this, the Yahoo Help says -
Can I use PUSH?

As Yahoo! Mail on the Mobile supports the IMAP Idle protocol used for PUSH, all that is needed is a handset that supports it as well. Check your manual for further information.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Forwarding email from Sky to any other email address is quite straightforward and you could start that now,I did it with one of mine some time ago and it still goes there. The thing is you cant delete the sky email address at the moment presume this will happen if you don't take up the new option.
I have have had yahoo and ymail addresses for years but over the last couple of years they have been terrible for spam compared with gmail addresses. Yahoo are not clever on customer support (whats new!)
I suspect the move is a price thing as BT moved their email system a few years ago.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
I have been digging about on google and apparently Yahoo has push.
Here's just one link even though it's a complaint about it not working.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
I have a couple of questions -
1- The details say that the change will take place April 2013, will we all get moved on over on the same date ? or can we change our settings before with maybe both services running along side each other for a period.
2- I very rarely check my email via the Sky website, I use Outlook 2010 on my Laptop and my Iphone when Im out. I have it set up so if i check my mail on my Iphone, read it/delete it etc the email still comes through in Outlook on my Laptop.
Now that it appears that the Yahoo set up has Imap will I still have the same access as stated above ?
Thanks for any reply

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
"IF" the Sky/yahoo mail runs as yahoo mail does now then don't worry about the IMAP and Mail Pushing functions they will work if your set up ok on your mobile.
The pop settings for Outlook 2010 (Sky) will no doubt be published in due course but the normal Yahoo settings work fine in most modern email clients and operating systems.
What should be of concern is the amount of Spam that comes through the Yahoo system and also the time delays in receiving messages compared with the likes of
GMail and Hotmail etc.

From personal experience, Yahoo! and Gmail both can have delays at times.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Noticed that Yahoo webmail received a make-over last week. No idea if any other changes have been made though?

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
This is such a retrograde step.....It is the only reason I left BT to come to Sky because the BT-Yahoo mail was so unreliable. You only need look at the BT forum and where there are at least 10,000 posts on the subject of yahoo mail....You guys at the top really should read this...with login problems and being locked out of accounts if accessed by a mobile device and a computer.....Oh well looks like the quest is going to continue to find another ISP that doesnt keep changing the goal posts in the pursuit of profit !!
