Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
I had similar concerns to yourself:
http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-n...tml#post401945
When prompted to accept the t/c's at the sign in page, i wasn't redirected anywhere.
A couple of days later when i received the 'important changes' email, clicking the 'count me in' link had the same effect as for you, ie: if already logged in, my inbox would load, or if not logged in, the sign in page would load.
Everything's ok though.
I've just signed in to yahoo mail with all 3 of my id's / accounts & some of my older mail is there.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Thanks for that. It never occurred to me that it may have actually worked with no confirmation. Must have been clicking on the "Count me in" button that did it but they really should come up with some kind of message.
Anyway all looks good signing in with Sky ID via Yahoo login so I guess we just wait to see what happens in the next few weeks when the log-ins get changed in MySky?
No sign of any Contacts there. Do we have to import manually or will they get transferred automatically when the process is finished?

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Whatever you do, make sure you have any important emails and your contacts backed up. With an excercise like this anything can and probably will go wrong.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Mmmm this is all a bit of a puzzle! Have set up the yahoo on my ipad and have keeped the sky gmail account set up for now. My Sky email is set up via exchange and when comparing the settings with yahoo settings, in the old set up there is tabs to set number of emails to download and also which boxs to push setting.
These setting don't exists in the yahoo set up, my question is does this mean yahoo wont push mail to my devices?

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
It has been confirmed that the Sky Yahoo! Email isn't completely launched yet. At the present time not all the services will work correctly. Once it goes live next month all should be fine.
This could hamper the Yahoo imap settings on a PC or MAC, for example.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
I don't know what to do now.
I have also heard horror stories about Yahoo email.
Where else could I go?
I want imap so I can sync my desktop with my phone.
I did sign up to 'outlook.com' but I can't see any reference to imap on their website!

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Well IMAP will work on mobile devices, but if you can't sync it with your PC, what good will that do? I am thinking that it is possible IMAP will work on Desktops, but Sky are asking you to change to POP to simplify moving the Sky accounts from the Gmail servers to the Yahoo ones. This may not be easy or even possible with IMAP.

Re: Sky Yahoo! Mail FAQ
Sky has revised the help page to assist people in setting up your email clients:
Get emails on your computer or device | Sky Help
It is confirmed that POP will only be available on the PC, although only Win 7 and earlier is mentioned. For Mobile devices you can use IMAP or POP.
