      Imap or Pop

Have just reformatted and installed Win 7. Before I go setting up my Sky email I am considering moving from Mozilla Thunderbird to Windows Live.
What would be the better method to use on one home computer, Imap or Pop?

I also have a laptop that would be used only on the same home network.

      Re: Imap or Pop

If you only ever plan to check your emails on one computer, then POP would work just fine.

However, should you decide to use a phone or the laptop to check them as well, then consider IMAP. This would allow the emails to be marked as read once, instead on every device.
