      550 Relaying denied

My previous email was name@btconnect.com. I transferred my Broadband to Sky and received a sky email address. I use Outlook 2007. I can send email sometimes and receive my old emails. When I try forwarding or replying I get "Recipient cannot be reached" Error 550 Relaying denied.

Is there an issue between Sky and BT?

      This is so frustrating!!

You do know that after 90 days your BT email will be cancelled unless you upgrade to a premium account? About 1.50 a month. It is not free for life like Sky email.

You will be able to receive mail from a BT account with no problem, but you will not be able to send using Sky's SMTP servers. To do this you will need an SMTP account, Skyusers for instance.

Unless you intend paying for a premium BT account you would be better transferring all your email to Sky.

      Re: 550 Relaying denied

The BT account is an old business account and doesn't cost me anything.

When you say transfer everything to sky how do I do that? I have Outlook 2007 set up for my BT accounts but I cannot send. I want the functionality of Outlook, can't use an auto signature with webmail.

When I try too set it up for my @.sky.com
email it just keeps asking for my password again and again. I am in one very, very frustrating loop.

This is easily set up. You will find instructions for Outlook 2007 in this thread-
