Accessing email with Android mobile
I am trying to set up my phone so I can check and send email via sky when out and about.
The smtp settings have been accepted, but when I test the imap settings, I just get the test screen appear and it never finishes.
I am trying the same settings for an Iphone. They seem to suit my phone.
Port 993, ssl, never delete messages on server.
I have a samsung galaxy s, which is android based.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Re: Accessing email with Android mobile
Looks like you have the settings correct. See this to check
Are you setting it up with the email app or the gmail app?
You can't use the gmail app
Have you enabled the IMAP forwarding in the sky.com web portal?Links Router Stats Useful Tutorials Speed Test Check For Test Socket Repetitive Electrical Impulse Noise

Re: Accessing email with Android mobile
Definitely using the email app and not the Gmail app.
I have enabled imap in sky email settings. Is there anything else to do apart from enabling it?
I will play around some more later.
I see that page in the link has port 995 for both pop and Imap.
I believe it should be 993 for imap, but I have tried both.

Re: Accessing email with Android mobile
I now have it working.
Port 995, ssl accept all certificates, never delete emal on server.
I did try these settings last night but today they are working.
One problem I still have is that by selecting 'never delete email on server' I assumed email on the sky server would remain there until downloaded via my desktop via pop. It doesn't.
Is there a way to achieve this?
