      SkyUser SMTP Account Activation

      Hi,
      I applied for a Skyuser SMTP account when I joined on the 4th October. Would I be correct in thinking that it would be reasonable to have expected the account to have been set up by now?
      As far as I am aware, I filled in the form correctly, so I have waited patiently for the PM to tell me its active. I'm now thinking something has gone wrong. Is there any way to know whether I filled out the form incorrectly or do I just try doing it again?

      Any suggestions welcome.

      You should have received a response within 24 hours so I'd apply again.

      Thanks for the reply. I did re-apply last night and just got the PM to say it has been activated. Yippee!
      Set it up and the "test Settings" in Outlook 2003 passes, but I still can't send mail. Therror message I get states:

      Task 'xxxxxx - Sending' reported error (0x8004210B) : 'The operation timed out waiting for a response from the sending (SMTP) server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

      I'm going to trawl and see if I can find the answer, but any suggestions welcome.

      Hmmm. Subsequently got test messages working ok, but not "real" outgoing mail. Then I restarted Outlook and all sems to be working ok now!
