IMAP painfully slow
Hiya,
Just moved to IMAP as need multiple PCs and BlackBerry to collect the same e-mail.
With Outlook 2010 it has so far taken since yesterday lunchtime to synchronise my subscribed folders and it's still going.
That's not right is is?
Thanks

Re: IMAP painfully slow
I don't use IMAP. Like a number of others on this forum I've stuck with POP and simply chosen the option 'Leave mail on Server' . You can then download all emails to all devices. I have chosen to have a Master device where I haven't chosen 'Leave on Server' so when downloaded here the email is deleted from the server.

Re: IMAP painfully slow
Yeah the thing is I need to be able to view sent items on all devices as well so POP3 won't work as Sent Items will be local to each PC, and as the different PC's are in seperate buildings so this is a no-no.
I can understand a slight delay in the syncing' of IMAP but to be this slow is rediculous.

Re: IMAP painfully slow
Be sure your RSS feeds are disabled, i currently use IMAP on quite a slow connection and it works well.
