Additional user passwords
Can these be found anywhere on your main account log in page on the sky website ? I can add new users and their corresponding passwords , but I can't see anything on there that gives any of the password information for existing additional users . I've forgotten/lost them all. Does it mean I have to phone up sky for them ?
I don't want to do that if I can help it , last time I inquired about my main account password , they sent me a new one that didn't work and I couldn't send or receive any email for a week.

Re: Additional user passwords
You would have to follow the "Forgotten my password" procedure for the accounts you have lost info for. You cannot see passwords on linked accounts via the main account as that would be a gross violation of privacy etc.
If you follow the "Forgotten password" process it will reset the password immediately.

Re: Additional user passwords
That worked , thanks
That was quite painless in comparison to what I remembered about sky email passwords . They must have had an overhaul of the previously tortuous process.

Re: Additional user passwords
Something still isn't right thou . The new account I made, I have no trouble sending and receiving from an external email client . The old account , the one where I had to reset the password , cannot be accessed at all externally . It gives me an authentication error. I can log onto the sky page with the new details and send/read the emails that way , but that's as far as it goes. I'm wondering if the new password is just the webpage password only , and the old password remains if you want to access your email via smtp/imap. I have done everything the same for old and new accounts alike , setting up the forwarding and pop/imac settings exactly the same.

Re: Additional user passwords
You will not have 2 passwords for the same account. It may be that it has not gone to all the data bases yet. If you are certain your clients settings are correct, give it 24 hours and see if it works.

Re: Additional user passwords
I fixed it now . I went through the account settings on the sky email page to change password in the profiles area , and entered my new password again as the 'new' password. That seemed to update whatever needed updating and I can use an external mail client now.
