      unable to verify my new sky email address

      I have been trying to setup a new email address,i select the details and go to the verify window,it says to write email address in the box,then i click verify,but all i get is a return email saying that it has failed,i even tried my own email address in the box but it tells me i can already send from that one,i cant find any code to verify the new address,i would be very grateful for any assistance,thanks.

      In sky email and tools, and edit my profile, i get the, you have a sky ID and it has been accepted,when i add another email address i own in sky accounts and tick verify,i get the email failed permanently.

      If you are trying to create a new address you are doing it in the wrong place!

      The settings you are trying to change are for when you already have a 3rd party address, and you want to be able to send from it via SKY.

      You create a new @sky.com address via "Manage additional users" in "mysky".

      Thanks moleman,that is the window that i am using,i create a new email address,then i go to sky mail in box,it congraulates me on having a sky ID,before i can start using it i must verify it in sky help,(accounts),do you think it could be anything to do with outlook express?,i was having trouble until last night,it was"nt connecting properly,so i unchecked the this server box in properties,and my emails came in from sky email,hope i have explained correctly,i will go back and try the setup again and see if that was the fault.

      Tried to create a new email address but the result was the same,failed delivery,email address does not exist,but it states on the verification to send it to the new one and it will send the code,thanks.

      I am not sure what you are attempting to do.

      As a test I have just created a new user via the link I gave above and have logged into sky mail & tools as the new user. At no time do I get asked to verify the address.

      As I said above the only time I know of when you are asked to verify an address is when you want to send via Sky's SMPT server using a different email address to that of the logged in user.

      The new address you create is completely separate to the main address so it has to be logged into separately.

      Very sorry for not being able to get back until now,I go into edit my profile,i fill in my own details(same as my only email address),i create a new email and click ok,i then get a email from sky saying that i have a sky ID and am able to take avantage of them,i go into mail settings and add an email address that i already own,so i type the address i have just created,it before i can use my new email i have to verify it,(there is the option next to new address),then it says to write new address into the box and a verification email will be sent to this address and with it will be the code,i do that and then i get a permanent failure email in my original address,thanks.

      1. Go to Sky.com - your home for the latest news, sport and entertainment and click on 'Sky Customers' at the top and then click on MySky underneath that. Log in as the primary user.

      2. Once logged in, click on 'My Profile' at the top

      3. On the next page, towards the bottom, you will see a link for 'Manage Additional Users'. Click on that and you'll see a button to 'Create an Additional User'. This is what you use to setup a new email address
