    unable to verify my new sky email address

    This is a discussion on unable to verify my new sky email address within the Sky Email and Portal Log-in forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; Thanks very much, that is the method i have been using,but it ends up the same....

      as said, there's no point where it asks to verify so i don't know what you're looking at. any chance of a screen shot?

      What address is the email sent to? If it's the new one that means it's all done and working. There is no need to go into mail settings and add an email address as that is just for the SMTP server to allow already existing 3rd party email addrress to pass through in the "from" field.

      Just be aware the original address and the newly created one are totally separate accounts with their own logins for POP/IMAP and SMTP.

      O.K. I am assuming you just want to create another email address for yourself.

      Try this:

      Click this link


      Sign in with your main account details.

      Click "Set up an Additional User".

      Fill in the details.

      Click "next".

      Fill in the "Contact Email Address" with an alternate address they can contact you on.
      Create a secret question and answer.
      Tick to agree terms and conditions.

      Click "Subit".

      It's Done! You should get the message:

      "Success
      You have successfully created an additional user and their account is now active."

      You can now sign into Sky email and tools with the new account and enable POP on the account if you want to use it with an email client.

      Big,big thanks to everyone, moleman, i set up a new account from the link, i ignored the accounts page where it says to verify,i logged into my new details and there it was,a new email address,thanks for sticking with it,all the best,tommy.

      I cant find the 'my profile' on my mail page
      I want to add a user and everything I look at says go to 'edit m progfile' mine doesnt have that anywhere.
      Please help anyone?

      If you click this link and sign in with your username and password it will take you to a page where you can edit your profile, and also add additional users.

      Note: Only primary users can add additional users. If you are not the primary user you will see an "upgrade to primary user" link on the page.

      Thanks moleman,that is the window that i am using,i create a new email address,then i go to sky mail in box,it congraulates me on having a sky ID,before i can start using it i must verify it in sky help,(accounts),do you think it could be anything to do with outlook express?,i was having trouble until last night,it was"nt connecting properly,so i unchecked the this server box in properties,and my emails came in from sky email,hope i have explained correctly,i will go back and try the setup again and see if that was the fault.
