      Problems with Sky email

      Hi there
I am having problems with receiving emails using Outlook Express 6.
I have several email accounts with Sky, some work and some don't. The ones that don't work did work and nothing has changed to cause this problem.
The message I get is -
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: '*******', Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92.

My password is correct and has never been altered.

I emailed Sky and they said they were unaware of any problems.

Anyone else having any similar problems?

      Cheers!

Try pop.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com as the severs as Sky's are not the best. The ports should be 465 and 995

Failing that there are a few suggestions here:

The ports & servers are different, but everything else the same? I may give it ago.

I'll just add though my emails are now working again. What I did was to sign into Sky Email, click on mail settings and re-selected POP3. It was already enabled, but I clicked on it again. I then saved changes, which it said there was an error. However, I then ran Outlook Express and everything was working again.

      Many thanks for your help
