      Re: Logging In Issues Anyone?

Might be worthwhile, everyone phoning or emailling a complaint to sky through sky.com to get them to log a call for this problem. if they don't know about it they can't fix it. when I phoned them the guy said he had never heard of anyone being able to log into their email via the web but not through outlook/mac mail. There is obviously a few of us here who have the same problem and I have forced them to log a call.

p.s when i try sky.com/unlock it tells me my username and password don't match as well, which makes me think it doesn't exist or isn't activated on their mail server properly.

p.p.s I take it the error everyone is getting is along the lines of "the server pop.tools.sky.com has rejected your login, either your username/password is incorrect" even though you have used the same username/password the works via a web broswer?

Just a thought...anyone reset their sky.com password recently and now can't log into their email via outlook etc?

      Re: Logging In Issues Anyone?

      It gets stranger!

Standard automated response from Sky for problem logged via email....no point having baited breath and waiting from past experience.

On main Sky site, requested log on id...emailed to initial registration....then went and requested password using valid Id...which I had been using anyway!.....then requested change password, again emailed and used link supplied.....dont use same password as original..it just sits and sits and sits....anyway got new password and was able to log in to Sky and email hurrayyyyy...

Then tried to use this new password in outlook.....or the old one.....didnt matter still goosed!

But at least its a partial solution till they fix it properly, and having multiple accounts for Sky on outlook when at least one of them works I can then change the others to match!

Just glad I don't rely on Sky only for e-mails!

You've got that right. I haven't bothered using it in years, it was a total shambles then and it doesn't seem to have gotten any better.

Sky e-mail is now a rebadged Google mail setup and works as well as most ISP supplied e-mail.

      Re: Logging In Issues Anyone?

Hi, this is my 1st post, although I've dipped in & out of site for info since I discovered you.

So can anyone help me re login problems over last 2 days.

I use sky email as my main address (unfortunately) and apart from 3hrs yesterday morning & 1hr early this morning, I have been unable to log on to my email a/c. Keep getting HTTP 500 message (web server probs/maintenance)

Finally bit the bullet today and rang them, only to be told "not aware of any probs and someone would ring me back within 24hrs!!!"

Is anyone else having this problem or does someone have a magic wand?????

      Re: Logging In Issues Anyone?

Shocked...got an email from Sky support who had tried to phone me.....could I supply an alternate number and when I would be available.

Not Shocked any more..its been a week since I emailed them back and have heard nothing since......

Also tried changing to IMAP....but still wont let me on via Outlook Express.....despite having to have logged on via browser to change the SKY IMAP Settings.

      Really impressed with the support!

      hi
if you are geting "http error 500-internal server error" or "you are not logged in" etc. then this might work, u have to close all internet browsers, open new one and delete all cookies, files and offline files, if u dont wont to delate all cookies then just delete the one named "version"
      hope this helps
