Suspicious activity on my Sky email account?

I have had to reset the password on my gmail account twice over the last couple of weeks as it wouldn't let me log in.
Today I got an email from Google (well I think it was them) to both gmail and sky email accounts suggesting I change passwords yet again, AV and antispyware scans show up nothing. I've reset the passwords and changed to https.
So has anyone else had this, should I be concerned and if so what should I do?

      Dear Google Account holder,

We've detected some suspicious activity on your account *******@sky.com. As a precaution, we recommend you sign in to your account and create a new password. It would also be a good idea to update your passwords at other services where you may have used the same password and to run an anti-virus and/or anti-spyware scan on your computer. As a reminder, a strong password should be easy for you to remember but should not be guessable by someone who knows you and shouldn't use any common words that might be easy to guess. Generally speaking, it's a good security practice to change your passwords periodically.

Indeed they usually end up in my spam folder, how to tell though? This is where this one claimed to come from

Re: Suspicious activity on my Sky email account?

The fact that the email is not asking you to click a link in it but rather to sign into the account to change your password suggests to me that it might be legit.

You might have got it because of the fact that you changed the password twice in a few weeks, perhaps Google classifies this as "suspicious activity".

Did you originally have to change your sky email password as well as there doesn't seem to be a reason why you would get this email to this account as well if you only change your gmail password.

Re: Suspicious activity on my Sky email account?

On two occassions I couldn't log in to my gmail account and went through a password recovery routine.
The third time was a mail asking me to change the password for both accounts. I use the Sky account as a secondary address on gmail.
