Sky and Windows Mail compatibility again
Hi
Have forwarded messages from My Sky to Windows Mail for about a year with no hassle. Last week I needed to use My Sky (first time in about a year) to check on my line and speed status and couldn't remember my user name and password. Obtained the user name and rest the password as reqquested.
Now I find that when I use Windows Mail I get the Windows security dialogue box asking me to logon to pop.tools.sky.com. When I do I then get the following message:
Account: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92
Have rechecked my account settings in Sky but can't figure out what to do now. Too much of a coincidence not to be linked to the password change.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Sky and Windows Mail compatibility again
What password are you using, the old or the new? Have you tried logging on to the Web mail, what password lets you in there? The same one should work for your POP account. While you are in your Web mail check that the settings there have not been reset.

Re: Sky and Windows Mail compatibility again
Sorted it now. Windows Mail just wanted the @sky.com as my user name and then it worked.
Thanks for your time.
