Hi, I have same problem here. I don't use sky account but from outlook I am only receiving emails and cannot send! I checked all my settings which are fine I also went onto website to my webmail account and am able to send from there so it isn't a problem with my set up.
Has anyone got any ideas?

Since leaving Sky BB on 4th August, my Sky email has worked perfectly - as well as my new O2 mail!!!

What is the exact error message? Being able to send from webmail only proves that you know your username and password! There are, unfortunately, many other places where Google's SMTP can fail. Some examples:
Have you tried both SSL (port 465) and TLS (port 587)? Is the SPA box UNchecked? Have you included @sky.com with your username? Have you specified smtp.tools.sky.com as the SMTP server?

THank you for your reply. I do not use a sky email account. I have only had problems since recieving a router from sky as my old one broke. I have only had problems with the new sagem router. It took 3 days for me to get any internet as the router wasn't displaying in my network at all. It worked for 3 weeks and then had same problem again! I've only just got it working again!!
