E-mail SMTP Nightmare
Just got Sky Broadband installed and went live today, I then realise that I cannot configure my domain name e-mails via outlook! Great!
Anyway I have signed up to the SMTP user facility here and going to give it a go and see if it works otherwise I am going to have get BT Brodband on another line that I have coming into my house.
I have noticed that some people have provided the wrong info. Am I right in assuming that I have inventing or creating a user name password or do I need to send my SKYbroadband user name and password? Sorry its just not that clear that's all and I was just checking, could do with gettintg my e-mails back up and running todat really!!
Yours frustrated, Sam

Re: E-mail SMTP Nightmare
How to apply for an SMTP account or tell us that there is something wrong with your SMTP account
Any problems with the SMTP server or to apply for an SMTP account, please contact us using this form, letting us know your forum username and don't forget to supply a password that you wish to use, one that is not used for anything else. If you are applying and you are not signing up from your Sky Broadband Connection, please also supply your Sky.com email address, so that we can verify that you are a Sky Broadband Customer.
I notice that you have already applied, on your application you have given us a username and a password. In reality - we need your forum username and a password that you supply. However, the form that we get people to contact us, tells us your forum username, so theoretically, your application should get processed sometime this evening.
Just remember that the details that you would then use are
forum username: (not the username that you have requested)
Password on your application: And not the one you use for accessing the forum~ Never, ever, argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience ~
