Hi guys, I have tried all the solutions you have posted, including everything else I can find to rectify this to no avail! All I get, all the time, is user name and password not authenticated, anyone got any further advice please? ( trying to use windows mail )

Have you put @sky.com at the end of your username in the account settings. This is about the most common mistake which causes this error.

As above, plus have you enabled POP access in mail settings within the sky.com mail and tools inbox area for the account?

top man! worked a treat, although I am certain I have already tried this, it has solved my woes, thank you very much!
And yes my pop was enabled in in my mail settings.

Removed and deleted everything and follwed the pics.
