      Trying To Create A New Account

      I am trying to create a new email account, I set up the login some weeks ago, all I get when I try to create a new email account is a page reload with creating new email and tools account and the spinning symbol, for about 5 mins, then a message telling there was a problem try and login later.

      Any ideas folks ??

      If you are creating it from within your mysky profile area then it's a known fault that is being investigated at the moment. We have had a lot of calls recently that have had to be escalated to the webmail team for resets due to server errors.

      Ahh thank you so do I just wait and see ? as the wife needs her new mail account set up as I need to go in and enable pop so it can be used with Outlook Express.

      If it's created you can try to go to tier 1 about it, tell them you cannot log into it and are getting error messages. I've had a few of these and webmail are taking notes on how the errors are being found (what you click on etc).
      Is the new account showing in your main my sky manage additional users screen? If not then I am afraid its a wait and see or if you need it in a hurry you could just create her a googlemail account as they are practically the same (except the @sky.com bit obviously).

      I have just created on now, before I read this thread and it up and running and downloading via pop3 in Outlook.

      Can you try again with another e-mail address?

      It's not hitting all accounts Smithy, Google holds it's data across groups of servers. I have been able to get some into their accounts via resets online but others are failing due to errors. Back at home my account has been working perfectly but the other halfs has been playing up with errors seen by othe Sky customers.

      The account shows up in manage additional accounts, but as the wife was still using NTL email I did not bother setting up the email on sky at the time.

      Looks like I may need to make a call then ?

      Give em a call, with luck webmail will be able to reset her details on line and she will be able to login. if the account is created you should be able to log out of sky.com on your main account, click the sign in link, click on forgotten password link under the password box and then follow the instruction to reset. If you get a page saying an email has been sent to you ignore it and click on the "cannot access email reset here" link.

      Well here's a thought I tried it on IE and it worked straight away ??????

      Firefox must have an issue with the Sky Email set up page.

      Possible, could just be the servers too, we always get customers to open IE and it's been playing up there too lol
