      Is the new account showing in your main my sky manage additional users screen? If not then I am afraid its a wait and see or if you need it in a hurry you could just create her a googlemail account as they are practically the same (except the @sky.com bit obviously).
      what are you saying? Sky dont work therefore create a online mail account with google. I have paid for 10 additional email accounts and i expect them to work, why dont you just fix the problem ,virgin media give 15 additional accounts and they can all be setup online seemlessly in seconds with no problems.

      I have a similar problem with two new additional user accounts and just tried again using IE instead of FF but still no joy.

      Both the additional users I've created appear on my list of users, but when I log in as either user and go to Email, I'm asked to accept the T&Cs, but the "creating your new mail account" screen just spins away and eventually times out.

      When phoned, Sky claimed it was a known problem but that said, a friend of mine had no trouble creating an additional user on his account so the problem clearly only affects some users. I emailed the "Email & Tools" team and received the following edifying reply ...

      "We are unable to advise when this issue will be resolved. I can only advise you to keep trying over the coming weeks and you will notice when this issue will be resolved."

      This is getting quite frustrating as I don't wish to go public with the Sky-assigned username/email address so am left to wait until Sky sort this out.

      Incidentally, how does one escalate a query to Tier 1?

      Well, i gotta say hello and this is my first post here. REason i joined is cos i too have the same problem - 4 additional users created - unable to create email addresses!!!
      i emailed the supprt group - got told this is a known problem and the engineers are working on it. safe to say then that this is going to be a complete waiting game, unless there is any other tricks of the trade i can try.
      good job i am a patient easy going person then..............not :-)

      So you went to 'Manage Additional Users' in the MySky area of the parent account to create the new users? As the email account is setup at the same time...

      EDIT: just this second created a new user, logged into the inbox in 2 minutes...

      Yup - thats correct.
      went to the 'create additional user' part - put all the details in etc - user created, and confirmed in my 'additional user' list. i then log in with one of the additional user accounts, which is successful, click on email, get the 'check agreement box/email set up screen' - the browser then begins the circle spinning thing etc, it continues for several minutes and then tells me there is a problem etc and to try later.

      this has gone on now for 3-4 days. i keep trying different additional user accounts but none work.

      so all in all, additional user records exist but cannot get the email link set up.
      i read different things and guess it must be a sky server thing - or do you think it something else?

      Likely a server issue as I setup an account and was logged in within 2 minutes...

      I had a similar issue. And it wasn't until i tried to access it using a friends internet that it worked...

      So, if you have a friendly neighbour. I'd see about using there net for 30 seconds...

      There is still a problem with setting up new email accounts. I've got 2 new users and neither have emails - all I get is the spinning logo and this result

      "There appears to be a problem, and we have been unable to activate your Sky Email & Tools account.
      In order to activate your Email & Tools account, simply log in again shortly, with your Sky.com username and password."

      Yip Same issue

      Emailed support and sorry we know we have an issue and sorry we don't have a clue what it is and sorry we don't know when it will be fixed and sorry we can't inform you when it will be.

      a bit pants on the service really.
