Using e mail forwarding with Sky ISP
I have used the bigfoot e mail forwarding service for years - so as I switch ISP I dont need to tell everyone - cos they see my e mails from from my .bigfoot.com e mail address.
I am considering coming across to Sky for broadband - can anyone tell me if I will be able to set my "from" e mail address as a .bigfoot.com address - so the recipient sees the bigfoot address - or will sky insist I configure the from box with a sky e mail address?
I also notice that sky user has offered an smtp service - would this enable the "from .bigfoot.com" functionality I am seeking?
Many thanks all from newbie as of today,
Chris

Re: Using e mail forwarding with Sky ISP
Hi Chris,
I've been a bigfoot user for years and I know how useful it is.
If you use Sky's SMTP server, it will show your bigfoot address but it will say something like "on behalf of Sky.com" (somebody else will probably quote the exact words). Best advice is to apply for access to the SkyUser SMTP server and put your bigfoot address in the "Reply To:" box - works a treat for me.
Regards,
Felix
