      Can't set up sky e-mail account in Windows Mail?

      My Sky broadband is activated on Thursday of this week, and I've been able to created my '@sky.com' e-mail address, which I access using the 'sky mail' portal on the Sky website.

      However, I'm unable to set up sending and receiving e-mails in Windows Mail (Vista) - is this because I'm not yet on Sky broadband?

      How did you "set up" your email? You should have a main user name that is linked to your account and this is the one you log in with as your primary email etc.
      Once you log in via email and tools you should follow the instructions for enabling POP (IMAP, POP and Forwarding tab in mail settings) and save the changes. Do you get any errors when send receiving? If so what are they and also when asked for a user name within windows mail did you give your full sky.com email address as it is required for POP/ IMAP software.

      I set up my mail because I'm an existing Sky television and Sky talk customer, and logged into the 'my sky' bit of the website and clicked on 'e-mail'.

      ah, ignore me - I've just removed the account and re-added it, and it's working fine now - thanks for your help anyway!
