    email woes

      email woes

      Please help, i've tryed all i've read on here and i still can't get my sky email to work with outlook express I just keep getting the following-

      The server responded with an error. Account: 'steve', Server: 'pop.tools.sky.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail server!', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

      It's probhably something small i've missed but i can't see it for looking!

      Could be the port numbers need setting in AVG.

      ==Mail Servers and Ports==
      The mail servers have changed. They are now pop.tools.sky.com and smtp.tools.sky.com The ports that these servers listen on are 995 for POP and 465 or 587 for SMTP. These ports require Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to be ticked in whatever email client you choose to use.
      Have a quick read of this:
