Setting up second account????
I am an established Sky user with Sky email address, using Outlook Express without any difficulty. I am trying to set up second account. I have set up the Accounts on the computer correctly. I then go into Accounts on the Sky website, Add accounts, put in the name of the proposed account. I am then asked to verify and await confirmation. I open OE and all that happens is the box comes up asking for confirmation of user name and password. I have tried putting in my own user name and password and the new user name and my own password, but it it is not accepted.
I feel I am missing a trick somewhere. Can anyone put me right please.

Re: Setting up second account????
you have to log in online first and activate POP to use Outlook Express (or any email client)...
also, did you create the new account under 'Manage Additional Users' in MySky after logging in as the main account holder? This is the ONLY way to create a new account...
the new account won't be activated until you've logged in via the portal...-------------------------------------------

Re: Setting up second account????
Many thanks I will have another look. There has been a problem at Sky for the past few days which has interfered with this process. Was supposed to be back on line at 1400 today but it was not.

Re: Setting up second account????
I think it's more fundamental than that. It tells me I am not the primary user, which I am. Spoke to Sky themselves and as soon as I started to explain the problem I was told they are having technical difficulties and they were hoping to resume normal service soon. That was yesterday.

Re: Setting up second account????
Now been able to set up an additional user following the Sky help instructions. Filled in name, dob, password, secret question and found an acceptable user name and using the @sky.com email address. Sky accepted all this and told me the account was now live. Despite having carefully set up the Account/Properties in Windows Mail (vista) using all the details accurately, when I send a test message it is rejected by the Google Server. Windows mail on the computer asks me to log on with user name and password which it continually rejects and tells me the user name and password not accepted.
Can anyone cast any light on this. What are the obvious things to check?. Where does Google mail come into Sky.com.
My own emails work on sky.com without any problem.

Re: Setting up second account????
You still need to login to the webmail for the new account and enable POP/IMAP.
