MY Sky - when can new customers log in

Hi, new to this I guess the portal and My Sky are the same thing.

Ordered Sky online the other day and then thought I'd see if there was a Track Order facility on the website. Entered my details but it says "Your logon credentials are incorrect ".

Reading this page it seems you can track your order online:
      Sky.com - Sky Help Centre>Sky Online

But how long after ordering is it before you can login. Part of the signup was to give a username and password. These are what I tried on the My Sky log-in page.

I assume your a new customer and if so it may take a couple of days before you can login especially if they only assigned your username and password when you signed up. The details could have got confused over the phone but you should receive a letter soon with your username and password in it. Sometimes people find they can't login to the portal until there connection is live.

You can track your order through the BT site though

Yes, when we ordered we had to register an email address and password, just thought we wold be able to access it stright away.

Has the welcome letter from Sky today, saying that they will send the username and password soon (as well as a range of other things).

as I already had Sky before getting BB, my email, etc was going within an hour, but i'd assume if you're completely brand new then it might take a while...
