      Changing Password Problem

      Hi Guys, My password has been found out by someone I dont want to know it, so I changed it on skys webpage, My password has changed on the webmail, however in outlook express it has not.

      I need my new password online, but via outlook express it still needs the old one!! Can anyone help, the useless woman on the help desk told me its fine if you can log on whats the problem!!

      once changed online you update the server info in outlook and off you go...bare in mind it can sometimes take a few hours to settle...

      hi mate what do you mean update the server info?

      I have put my new password in and it does not work, but when I change the password back to the old one pre change it works fine!!

      So it can take a while to update??

      sometimes yes...pesonally mine always changed instantly...

      try removing the account from OE and re-enter it all including the new password - might work...

      Still no luck, I tried swapping another email account and thats the same too!! HELP

      how many accounts do you have in outlook? did you try removing the account in outlook completely and add another one?

      Yeah i have deleated the account and re set it up still no luck,

      hmmm...it's a bodge between the portal site and the pop servers, i think...

      tbh i'm stuck as it's always worked for me...only thing i could suggest is to change password again (using the 'forgotten password' link) and then try again...
