Is there a problem with Sky Emails please?

For the past few days I have been unable to send emails, I thought it was one email addy in Oz but I now can see it has happened on at least two other email addys.

This is the message I receive from Mail Delivery Subsystem,

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

      Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: Message rejected. See Help Center - Why was my message rejected? for more information.

When I look at 69585 it is about spam and sending bulk emails which I don't do.

I have sent two test emails from my account to myself and they have just been lost.

I do seem to be receiving incoming emails.

I run XP and Outlook and have changed nothing.

Please can anyone tell me what is happening?

Edited to say, it is not happening to all my emails, just received a reply from a test to another Sky account holder.

      Thanks Fiona

Would you suggest just waiting or should I be telelphoning tech help, I hope not as with poor hearing and heavy accents I am just unable to understand what they say and my stress level suffers

I've just successfully sent a test email direct from my husband's sky email account (ie not using outlook or oulook express) & it went through OK. Maybe we could use this for a while till more feedback from Sky/Google received??

Just done that too, got the test one to myself OK. Will have to wait on the Oz email to see if that was received.

      Thanks x

Re: Is there a problem with Sky Emails please?

I don't usually use Sky email but occasionally I check in just to see what has been blocked as spam.

There were seven items one of which was from Sky telling me what was on this month on Sky satellite!

      Damn clever those spam filters.

Yep, I suppose you do need to check now & then as it does block legit. stuff now & then (usually something vitally important!)
Busydee - have another go with Outlook (or OE) for your emails - hubby says that his are now miraculously working again (hurrah!!!)

If you can send email via your Sky account why not sign up with the free SMTP server provided by the nice people from SkyUser and hopefully you will never have any issues sending emails again.
