How to delete messages after download
I have just joined Sky and have set the email to download to Thunderbird on my laptop. The messages are still remaining on the Sky mail system though. Is there a way of the messages deleting off the Sky system after they have downloaded? At the moment I have to log into Sky and delete them separately.
I have set the download to go by IMAP rather than POP, this was recommended by Sky.

Re: How to delete messages after download
If you are using IMAP then you see what is on the server, if you remove them from the folder on your pc you will remove them from the server too. So unless you want to selete the email completely there may be no way around it. You might be better of using POP and telling Thunderbird to not leave a copy on server.

Thanks for that. Sky claim IMAP is better than POP. Is that the case or not? If it is I will stick with it.

Re: How to delete messages after download
I think there is a setting within your options when logged into your email via a web browser to set the email system to delete emails after download.
