Second laptop or PC - different email account
Hi,
I've had to move recently and brought my wireless laptop with me. Got incming mail (via POP3) working just fine but couldn't figure out Sky's smtp servers for a while - done that as well now. So I was able to reply to emails on my own laptop and send via Sky's smtp server ...
Then mother came to me to say that mail I had sent out from my account(s) with other ISPs had appeared in her sent items on the Sky webmai site. Moreover, when I mailed myself between accounts, the 'From' field was changed to show mother's email address (but my name !!)
I am flumoxed.Having been involved with the internet for nearly 20 years I have never heard of an ISP modifying outgoing email addresses.l

I suggest you apply for a Skyuser SMTP server account. See This post
