Sky email
Hi again all
I've just had an email from Sky asking me to take part in a survey. Nothing wrong with it except that it's addressed to me using my Sky email address but I have recieved it through my domain email account on Outlook Express.
I use Outlook Express for my emails and I only have my domain addy set up. I have checked the accounts and there is absolutely no reference to Sky's settings whatsoever. As I do not, and never have, used Sky email sevices my question is, how do they do that? Or am I missing something here.

Re: Sky email
How have you set things up online, do you get Sky to check your domain email and then forward them ontoOutlook Express ?

Re: Sky email
Hi Alan and eyemdee
No I havent set up my domain email to be forwarded by sky I access it directly using the domain settings from Outlook Express. As far as I can remember I gave ky my Hotmail addy when I got Sky broadband. Also the email is addressed to my Sky email address (someone@sky.com) and when I check the properties thats the email addy that it was sent to. There is no reference in the email to my domain address that I can see.
Thanks for the replies Guys. Probably something I'm missing somewhere but as I don't have my sky email set up Outlook Express tis perplexing me somewhat.

Re: Sky email
Are you looking in the Properties at the first line "Delivered To"?
Look further down the headers for this bit near the bottom:-
From: "Field Intelligence Team" <FieldIntelligenceTeam@BSkyB.com>
To: <ME@MYDOMAIN.CO.UK>
Return-Path: FieldIntelligenceTeam@BSkyB.com
I think that is the address they sent it to, but that first "Delivered To" line may be originating from your Account details? Not sure about this but it would explain things...!

HHMM yes eyemdee looking at that lot of gobble de gook it certainly has my domain email address in it so I suppose I must have given them that at some stage of the game LOL. I am oldish and do drink copius amounts of beer at the weekends.
