POP3 error message from outlook
have tried to set up outlook express to take my Sky emails rather than use the web. Everything is set up as per the instructions (and confirmed by technical support) but keep getting the following error message when I try to send/receive
Reached the limit of my knowledge (and that of sky technical support) any ideas?

I have outlook 2003 and can receive emails but not send but it does appear that they are going until I checked my security a week later and discovered all my emails had not been sent (and one of them was for a job that I am desprate to get!). Recently moved to sky and spent 2 hrs on the phone to them last night, god I was so frustrated, I have more knowledge than they do! The telephonist is constantly being told what to do by a third party and I spoke to three of them with someone in the background on every one! Then I discovered this site, I have done every suggestion and even downloaded google pop help which suggested changing the pop3 and smtp to googlemail, which was a complete no no.
Has anyone discovered the correct setting for sending emails from Outlook 2003 yet, please!

Tried that one last night, sorry didnt work, think I have tried every option on your website! I am ready to cancel with sky, do you know the girl on the phone even told me that it was not a sky issue and that I should contact microsoft direct!

Yes, did that first, now get double copies of incoming emails, but the idiots at sky told me how to do that. I am quite good on computers and have been with different service providers and have always used outlook as my emailer, this is the first time I have ever experienced problems with it and I know it is skys settings
