Strange anomalies with Sky e-mail and 0E7

I've just joined Sky Broadband and, having set up my e-mail using the skills for which (in my own mind) I am legendary , I'm faced with a very peculiar situation which I hope someone here may be able to help with.

I realise that Sky e-mail is Google-powered and it has its own quirks. I have just sent four e-mails. Two were from myaccount@sky.com - to myaccount@sky.com (i.e. itself) and me@mydomain.com; and two were from me@mydomain.com - to me@mydomain.com (i.e. itself) and myaccount@sky.com.

Only two arrived in my Sky online mail-box - myaccount@sky.com to itself; and me@mydomain to myaccount@sky.com - and none of the four have been picked up by OE!

I really do hope there is a logical explanation for this. I have been receiving e-mails from others addressed to me at my domain, both online and in OE, normally.

Best wishes and thanks in advance,

      Ian

Have you enabled POP in your sky email and tools settings?

I've followed all the instructions to the letter - pop.tools/smtp.tools/465/995 etc. Which is why I'm puzzled.

I have the same issue with Windows Mail in that it won't pick up email from my Sky inbox.

I can go online & see the mail is there in the Inbox but when I run OE (or Windows Mail) it doesn't download it.

All POP3 etc is set up as far as I can see.

      :
That's precisely my problem. By the lack of other responses, it would seem to only affect people called Ian!

Just a thought... in your account properties, under general tab, is the box ticked to include the account when receiving mail? And have you typed in your full email address as your user name?
