email sent from myname@sky.com sent on behalf of myname@mydomain.com
Hi
Just set my email up and can get email sent to it and I can reply to it all ok so connectivity wise all is ok.
However, I own a few domains (personal - ie my surname) and I use that one for friends and family.
With my old isp (Zen) I could send outgoing emails all ok but sending them through sky i get in the "from address" send from myname@sky.com sent on behalf of myname@mydomain.com
I am using Outlook Express V.6 but this has never caused any issues with my previous ISP.
Ansers on a postcard please

Nothing to do with sky, it's how google apps handles domain info in emails sent through their servers. For Sky/ Google to allow people to change the domain in the sent from address they would have to manually edit MX records etc and that isn't about to happen.
If you have a domain and want the email to go through that domain then send through your own hosts servers.

It's because the Sky/Google server requires authentication when sending. If you have a 'normal' Gmail account it does the same thing.
You need to use another SMTP server which doesn't act this way for it to work-------------------------------------------
