loopy juice
...think thats what I have been drinkin!!!!!!
I can access my emails on the portal.....yet no matter what I try I can not get thunderbird to fire up.
It tells me my username and password have been rejected, even though these are the same ones Im using on the portal.
I have checked out loads a threads on here, and tried lots of things, but nothing seems to help.
I even tried OE and that wouldnt work either.
Am I stooopid?
I have also tried my original broadband password ....no go.
Is there somethin obvious im not doin?
My latest seettings are as per the video tutorial.....
Cheers
Guy

Re: loopy juice
Have you enabled POP access, on the settings???
are you using @sky.com on your username?

Re: loopy juice
Try a password reset on sky.com, check that you have put @sky.com on the end of your username and if that fails you can try an unlockcaptcha from the PC you are trying to get access from.

Re: loopy juice
Hi
I have just been onto sky customer support, and I must say that it was a trully international affair.
I must of repeated myself 25 times at least, to 3 differant customer service reps, all of whom were very nice, but none of whom spoke english to the sort of standard you would expect from a SKY customer service rep. However im sure you get waht you pay for, so Im not blaming the reps.
A complete waste of my time and money.
All ends up with me being told to reset my password on sky.com, and as if by magic.........
I cant even log on to the portal now....and considering I could before thats really quite an achievement.
The first bloke couldnt get OE or thunderbird working.....apparently I need OE 2007!!!!!
Then he gave up and told me to speak to microsoft helpline after he had ********ed it all up.
2nd woman hung up on me.....I wasnt being verbal in any way...I just think she wanted a smoke or to put some lippy on.
3rd rep put me on hold and I rung off after 10 minutes....
4th rep has now escalated it to the email team...fantastic, might have to wait 3 days though.
what a pile of s**t
