Re: Cannot send e-mail through a non-Sky SMTP server
Oh dear, this has just happened to me today with no warning or information how to setup the correct smtp. When I did set it up Sky changed my From email to my Sky one! Not good for business...
I called Sky and they said they dont actually "block" people from sending email using other servers and so couldn't really help with this issue. But while speaking to them my IP was removed the PBL (I did ealrier click the automated removal button and followed the process so dont know if it was me or not).
So its working again now. Very strange. At least I can relax knowing Sky are not forcing people to use their SMTP servers.

Re: Cannot send e-mail through a non-Sky SMTP server
you never had to use their smtp server - if you have access to another one then you can use it, it's only if you choose to use it will you have your Sky email address showing up...
