can't recieve emails using outlook express - help
Hi, I need a bit of help with an error message I've got after setting up my sky email address in Outlook Express.
I can send out emails which are received by my contacts with no problems at all, but I'm having a problem trying to receive mail using Outlook Express.
I'm not receiving any replies even though my contacts have told me they've sent emails back.
The error message says: "Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication." and then gives some more information about it. Have I not everything up right? I followed the instructions given here: Sky.com - Customer Support>Broadband>Article
But there's still an issue with me trying to receive mail. If anyone could help me out and point me in the right direction that would be great.I'm new to this so I apologize if this has been covered somewhere.
Thanks.

Re: can't recieve emails using outlook express - help
Have a read through this thread:
http://www.skyuser.co.uk/forum/sky-e...ns-so-far.html
And perhaps tryu the suggestions in the first post (in red) and the suggestion regarding changing the servers to Gmails (pop.gmail.com & smtp.gmail.com).

Re: can't recieve emails using outlook express - help
The important bit is "Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication". You have the box for "logon using Secure Password Authentication" ticked when you shouldn't have!
