Junk mail folder
So now we have made the switch to the Google powered mail service have all the problems with junk mail stopped?
On the same topic, is it possible to disable junk filtering on the new mail set-up or are we still at the mercy of the filters? It really annoys me that they think they know what's best for me. I don't particularly mind if they use filtering, but it should be possible to disable it.

Re: Junk mail folder
As far as I know you cannot turn it off, I've used the Googlemail system since it opened up the Beta to the public via invites and as yet I have only seen 1 or 2 emails go into the junk folder by mistake, you can then tell the system not to junk it in future and all is well.

Re: Junk mail folder
Hmm, but it's not really okay is it. As a POP3 user I never go to the website, so how do I know if e-mail has been junked without my consent? It just means I have to force myself to use the web based mail system just to be safe.
I have my own filtering system I use which has worked perfectly for the past 5 years or so. The most important thing about that is I have control over it, I know what the rules are and I know when things are being junked and can check.
By all means implement a filter, but give the users the ability to disable it.

Re: Junk mail folder
I sympathize. They're not going to change it though, and there is no way to force it back into the inbox automatically. You may have to go elsewhere if you really want that to filter you own junk mail.
