Hi, Here is the answer to get your new sky email working with outlook expres.
1) follow the email instructions
2) logon to sky email & tools tab and login
3) click on the inbox link tab
3) click on the mail settings tab ( a yellow coloured form will appear. )
4) click on the forwarding and pop tab
5) make sure this box below is ticked and then click save...
Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)


Check your outlook express email by clicking send/receive and it will be okay.

You get my vote hehehehe, thanks for the help though.

I actually enabled pop a few days back during the only occassion I actually managed to access my sky email toolbox.

Since then...dead as a dodo.

Hey Mr Easy,

I'm not sure I am clear on your problem now...

I know you can't get into the webmail. I see now that you have managed to get in once and did activate POP. Are you trying to set up POP in Outlook or something now? If you are, what errors are you getting?

Just reading back through this thread I haven't see you mention anything to do with a POP client, just the first problem with Webmail.

When I first received the email has migrated message I logged into my toolbox and activated POP.

Then I came out and went off to work, whistleing a merry toon.

Came hoe and attempted to log into my toolbox again...no joy!...tried to get Thunderbird working.....no joy!

......and thats where the story began........however it has now ended


I can now get into my toolbox, and thunderbird is chugging away on all four cylinders

I have changed nowt!.......maybe someone somewhere flicked a switch.

Not a clue......but thanks to all for your help, you all kept me sane

Hi jesserba, I have been struggling since Wednesday last, but tonight got my emails sorted.

I have not found then help pages to be very good on the Sky website - some don't even open when you click them - in fact this site gives far better help and you get to chat with some real anoraks (sorry guys, I mean it in the best possible way). Have a look at this thread from earlier when the penny finally dropped for me. I tried to explain it in a way that I understood it. Hope it helps.
