    Cant send Emails..Have I set up right..?

      Cant send Emails..Have I set up right..?

      I could have set my email account up incorrectly but I'm having trouble sending emails
      I get this message..
      The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'ppace@sky.com'. Subject '', Account: 'pop.sky.com', Server: 'smtp.tools.sky.com', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '530 5.5.1 Authentication Required p34sm3694696ugc', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 530, Error Number: 0x800CCC78

      I'd like to set it so that emails to Sky's erver are retreivable by Outlook Express
      Can anyone please help..?

      You will need to change your email settings.

      Good news.
      Glad to hear there were no glitches for you, as you may well see on the forums Sky have cause some major disruptions the last few days with the migrations to the new email and tools service.

      Quite right,maybe I'm just lucky..

      No Email expert but it Authorises/connects/disconnects(if theres no mail to download fronm the Sky server) OK so I guess its working Ok...

      i am having same problem i contacted sky said they were having email problems and would be sorted sat still waiting

      if you are getting the exact same error message then it is because you have not changed your email settings. Please see my signature links for some guidance on the correct settings. The link to Tips and Solutions also includes the PDF file that Sky sent out with the correct settings you need.

      well i've been trying to get my email working in outlook xpress, since friday, i've spent a small fortune on the phone with sky, so i set up an account with google, using the same settings as suggested in the sky setup guide, it works with google !!!!!! but not with sky. so spent another 20 odd mins on the phone with sky techy, trying to get email working with outlook, still no joy, he then suggested that i put back my original settings, before the migration to see if they still worked (not), problem is that all the hospitals and transplant units have my sky email addy, (waiting for a kidney) and so i use the email to transmitt data from our dialysis machine, so if anyone can shed any light on where i've gone wrong with any settings i'd be mmore than grateful.
