      Cant send or recieve emails...

      Ive just changed all my settings via the Sky portal to POP and reset my password aswell. I deleted my existing Outlook 2007 details and started from scratch, making sure all the incoming/outgoing bits and port numbers are correct. The password I have in Outlook is the same as the one set on the sky portal, Ive checked about 5 times. However, Outlook wont send or recieve. When I click send/recieve, it comes up with the Enter Network Password box. I enter the correct password, it comes up again and again. Im pulling my hair out as I know the passwords are correct !!

      The actual error I get is -ERR [AUTH] username and password not accepted

      I can get my emails via web mail, but I dont want to do that.
      What am I doing wrong ??

      After you make the change to enable POP on the Sky portal you need to click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.

      Did that, POP shows up when I looged out and then back in.

      You probably are not doing anything wrong - I got the email from Sky saying I had been moved and to change my settings so off I went changed all the settings and found that using Outlook E. would not connect to the Sky server and kept coming up with a logon box and the error messages.Spent 2 hours speaking to someone at Technical assistance (India Tier 1) total waste of time (I know more than he did - cannot issue ticket for Tier 2 - wont transfer you to Tier 2 ) Eventually he told me to try again on Saturday.Turned the settings back on OE still no connection - cannot access http://www.sky.com/tools now - site is down.Can receive email on the Sky portal but only if its sent to my primary email address (I only use a secondary one that I set up) which is not a lot of good.My secondary one appears to have disappeared.Looks like a case of useless Sky yet again.

      Are you using yourname@sky.com for your username? the "@sky.com" is required now, which it wasn't on the old system.

      Hey - I had exactly the same prob. Changed over to Sky Tools e-mail server tonight, could login to portal but Outlook 2003 wouldn't work despite correct settings. However after numerous calls and surfing I found that if repeatedly asked for username and password you need to go to this link and follow the instructions and I'm pretty sure you will get it working. I'm working now!

      Don't worry, you're not the only one!
      Complete ****-up I think. Been on the phone twice for a total of two hours with no result. Went over the same old routine - "it's a problem with you Outlook settings". NO IT ISN'T! Funny how I can log on to the web page (when it works ) with the same name and password as I'm using with Outlook. Support (if that's what you can call them) are stumped!
      Went through the process of changing my password as suggested by the email sent by SKY (as it may be out of sync after being migrated??) still no luck.
      Final result - can I wait until the 10th as the email systems are still under maintenance until then? .... NO! come on SKY sort it out!

      They should. I begged to get put through to a higher tier but they wouldn't. The guy was useless and new nothing. Got there in the end though. Glad your sorted!

      Tell me about it! I can't use any of my email accounts now! Bloody Sky want shooting! If they think they are going to get a renewal of my contract they are sadly disallusioned!
