      Sky/Google mail read first

      For those that are having trouble getting their mail program to work with the new settings please check that you have enabled POP at the http://www.sky.com/tools site once logged in, please see attachment for details.

      i would satdish only sky say my email account doesnt exist [am i a new customer ] have reset password and tried with old password the amazing thing is that i have 22 emails from skysaying youve been changed to googlei'm surprised at sky making a horliks of this [a year later i still cant get onto their portal lol]

      Hi,

      Yep done all that.
      Outlook goes through all the checks for emails but nothing coming through or been sent.(I know I should have some emails)

      You get a "your email account has been moved" message evry time your email program connectes to the old pop.sky.com email server to attempt to get your messages.

      I sussed it when after i had 37 of them in my Spam folder having been online for an hour or so trying (and eventually suceeding) to get to the tools so i colud change the google mail settings to use pop. They just kept coming.

      Why didn't they enable pop by default then if you don't ever connect using pop you can use the web based mail.

      Does anyone know if 'additional user' email accounts (set up under the old sky.pop.com) still work as mine arn't listed in the new google mail accounts?

      You need to log into and enable POP for all accounts via sky.com and then it's just a case of patience unfortunately as the migration has not gone smoothly (I know that's an understatement but it had to be said).
