    No access to sky.com and now no email!

      No access to sky.com and now no email!

      I've had a long going issue with sky regarding accessing the "sky portal" which will allow me to login, but comes up with a screen that tills me my profile is incomplete.



      Notice how the firstname and surname fields are listed as unknown, plus I can't change them...

      So I fill in what I can, click submit and get this screen.



      Obviously I've logged this with sky (3 Months and counting for a fix).

      However, bigger problem is that they've migrated my emails, so now they've effectively blocked any access to my email as I can't login to access webmail or to switch on the POP3 access!

      The "customer support" team are either unable or unwilling to help, Tier 2 are apparently saying that it's noting to do with them talk to Tier 1 (Which is what the Teir 1 support person told be they said)

      I've send emails, rung them up and just don't seem to be getting anywhere.

      Does anyone know of anything I can try to get my email working again without having to speak to the Indian Call Centre via they're dodgy VOIP that makes everyone sound like a dalek?

      Call T1 and ask them to call registration to get the profile manually corrected. This often works first time and the customer can log in to the account without any more problems.
      By the way we don't have a call center in India

      Tried that, it didn't work....

      The Guy I spoke to claimed he couldn't put me through, he also claimed he was unable to put me through to the webmail department.
      He also claimed there were no managers on site that I could talk to.

      So, I tried a different tack, I asked him to put me through to the department that would deal with a change of name, thinking that they could update my details from Mr Unknown, Unknown to my correct name.

      He said he would put me through, put me on hold and then the line went dead, I got cut off.

      Not Happy.

      What a waste of time and my money ringing them... The whole thing is a complete joke.
      My email address is currently bouncing, so it looks like they've killed off my email account.

      I'll check when I get in as I may have the registration number, the T1 guy could and should have put you through to them, they are always helpful when it comes to sorting profiles out. Give me till 6pm to get back to you.

      Hi

      I have the exact same problem, I log into sky tools it then states my sky profile is incomplete, i try updating and it fails every time. I have now been without email for two week? Tech support unable to help! I did get a letter quoting a ticket number for my call with a 5 off next bill!!! BUT I just want to be able to log in and get my emails. arrrggghhh....

      Please can anyone please.

      literally put up with it, its a known issue now and listed on the fault board so hopefully it'll be resolved soon...

      Try either of these two sites, just login with your details as no registering is required:

      Or better still get yourself a Gmail account and have it access your Sky account.

      Greetings:

      I am having the same problems as the above posters.

      For four months now I have been unable to log into my sky.com account and hence unable to change any account details or acccess my [old style] web mail (which I need to when working away from home).

      I send/receive e mail using Outlook Express.

      Now that I have been migrated to g mail I can not access my account to turn the [new] pop mail on.

      Fortunately I use my @sky.com e mail address as a forwarding address from my own domain, so have been able to switch this to another e mail address (thanks Tesco!) and pick up mail from this account. I can fortunately still send [old style] pop e mail through Sky.

      Numerous phone calls and e mails without a resolution.

      Apparently my account has a 'yellow triangle' flagged against it meaning that there is some database error and Sky have no idea when (if) this will be fixed.

      Help! Can anyone offer any solution?

      it'll be fixed when it's fixed AFAIK - you're not alone but in the VAST minority of users that've had problems.....hopefully it won't be too long
