      Email not migrated

      Hi,

I was moved over to the Googlemail service last night, and none of my email has been moved!

I had a load of stuff in my Inbox under the old system. Also, I used to use IMAP to connect and had a load of folders set up with mail in. None of this has been moved, and it's all disappeared from the old system! Luckily I have a backup of most of this stuff, but surely they'd leave it in-place for a while to allow you to download your stuff, or is that too much like common sense?

Anyone else suffered the same problem?

      Chris.

      Re: Email not migrated

Oops, didn't read the message closely enough!

Does anyone know if the IMAP folders will also be migrated? I had a lot of stuff stored in various folders which weren't visible via the webmail interface, only when connected via IMAP.

      Re: Email not migrated

Hopefully this will be useful info for anyone who used IMAP on the old service:

Since my last message my emails have started to be migrated. Email that was previously in IMAP folders is coming into the Google mail service with 'labels' of the same name as the folders.

On a different note, perhaps IMAP will be available in the future?

      pop.tools.sky.com points to bskyb-pop3-ssl.l.google.com

There is no DNS record for imap.tools.sky.com, but there is a server at bskyb-imap-ssl.l.google.com. Unfortunately after trying to connect it tells me that IMAP is not enabled for my account

      Cheers,

      Chris.

      Re: Email not migrated

IMAP is just being rolled out across gmail accounts, I am sure Sky will be included in that roll out.
