      help with an email issue please

      Hi,
      wondering if anyone can help me with the following please -
      I used to be a blueyonder customer and changed to sky some months back, but am wondering if there is anyway of being able to access my closed email from blueyonder?? I have had an email sent there from an online account that I couldnt remember my login for, and they have sent the details to the email address I registered with them - which of course was previous ISP. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

      I think Blueyonder are the strictest with their Email Service.

      When we originally moved to Sky, When our Broadband went off, Our email access was stopped aswell, Dont know if its like that with Virgin Media, As we havent left them *yet*!

      Could you get access to it?
      I really dont think they would be able to get access to it,
      If anything, They have most likely deleted it from the servers/records.
      Your best hope of getting to it, Would be to Email their IT Team, Calling them probably wont get you anywhere, As they will ask for an Account Number and its also alot more expensive to call them.

      What site is it that you are trying to retrieve the login details for? Have you tried contacting them an explaining the situation to them (But most likely, For security, They may be reluctant to switch to your Sky email for security purposes, But even then, You need your login details to confirm with them who you are).

      Hi FibreOptic, thanks for your response. The strange thing is, that even after 4 months of ceasing to be a Blueyonder/VM customer, I can still log in to the account side of things but cant log into the email on that site. Id understand it more if the account was closed as well as the email but it isnt!!! Anyway to get in contact with someone from BY/VM costs, as they charge for the call to the IT tech folk......I used to be able access help via the newsgroup but cant do that now lol.....The online account is a financial service that I had my password sent to my email - which is where the problem comes in because it is the blueyonder email - I think Im panicking more because its a financial company etc, but from what you have written, Im understanding that it will be wiped from BY/VM server anyway - is that right??? I may have to bite the bullet so to speak and just ring them.......

      From a different angle - could you not ring the company rather than BY/VM and advise them of your change in isp ?

      Yes Iam definately going to ring the company but was just worried about an email being 'out there somewhere' with my login details on it.
